Shelley Heinlein/fundraising and Shelly Drost, Chapter Director of True Blues chapter, supports Amazing Love, in Tampa, Florida by serving dinners to homeless and doing clothing drives
Leslie Blank and Charlene Faro’s chapter Blue Sapphires supports Wash Kit Gang St. Philip and St. James Church collecting supplies and creating personal care kits for donation to local shelters. Goal is to fill 150 kits
Kathy Kusek, of Heartland Blues, has the Head for the Cure as their charity, participating in the Walk for Brain Cancer – Race Day Support
Kay Pinto of Pine Thongs, supports Sharon Manor (transitional housing for abused women and their children), Providing 20 filled backpacks for the upcoming school year to the children of Sharon Manor – ages 5 to 18.
Janene Lasswell of Riveritas, in Three Rivers, CA, works with the Emergency Aid Alliance. We conducted our first music festival. From the net profit and donations, EAA now has over $14,700 to distribute to needy people in Three Rivers. We now have a board of five members, have held our first board meeting, and have a prospective cancer patient who needs our support.
Penny Nall of Wrightwood Wild Thongers, We support Give Back, Food & Clothing Drives in our community when needed.
Nancy Weaver of Bell Bottom Blues, works with the Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley. Our chapter collects gift cards and fundraises for the charity
Linda Manzo, of TGIF "The Girls in Flipflops" chapter supports Haitian women and children
Judith Peters, of the Bluecados, helps the Semper Fi Fund, with their Fundraisers
Lynn Bardowski of Crystal Blue Persuasion chapter works with Cathedral Kitchen, Camden, NJ. We are organizing teams of 5 to volunteer for Meal Service the 4th Monday of every Month, through Dec. 2012
Angie Davenport of Sexy Sassy Sapphires supports Hands on Tampa Bay. This organization has many volunteers throughout the Bay from feeding the homeless, cleaning up the grounds and the veteran’s hospital, painting houses for low income and over 55. We participate in as many activities as possible.
MiMi Browne & Julie Reilly, Blue Ribbon Babes charity is Working Wardrobes. We will be collecting clothing and items on the organization’s wish list to donate to the organization and will participate in two of the upcoming events
Ruth Smith, of the Sassy, Classy, Sophisticated chapter works with Helping Hands – Indianola, IA, collecting for the Food Pantry.
Diane Laake, of QC Bluepers, supports Bethany for Children and Families. We make Easter Baskets, Goodie Bags and promote their Behavioral Intervention Program for Kids
Pam Kranig, of Royal Blue Babes of Sacramento, California, Appointed Special Advocates of Sacramento (Sacramento CASA), Coordination of a group fundraising cruise to Mexico in January 2013. Sales of cabins to CASA supporters in which Carnival Cruise Lines will donate $35 per person back to the organization. They also support St. John’s Shelter Program for Women and Children, Coordination of a holiday toy and gift drive for children and mothers who are residing at the shelter during Christmas and for graduates of the shelter living in shelter homes.
Margie Simpson, Ro-cha-cha Chapter, NY, helps the Ronald McDonald House Charities – University of Rochester Cancer Center. Our members cook meals for the families of children with cancer.
Freddi Fullington, Blue Turquoise Ladies of Santa Fe, works with the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society, we volunteer with donations and all functions supporting the shelter.
Debbie Harris, Cabsisters, Fountain Valley Chapter, supports the Salvation Army Life Skills Courses for Women. Our chapter teaches women how to cook simple, healthy and inexpensive meals and grocery shopping tips.
Renee Chavez, Dazzlin’ Devas, The Faith House is their charity. They collect paper and hygiene supplies and non-perishable foods.
Davelle Chacon of Haute Flashes, works with Rachel’s Women’s Center, we prepare, deliver and serve dinner to the women. We sit and eat with the homeless women there and deliver leftover food to homeless on the street every other month.
Dawn Robinson, Thongs on the Table in La Mesa, CA, supports Team Marines - Burn Institute, we have a fashion show/fundraiser for Marines having surgery for finger and toe transplants.
Karen Brown, Diamonds in the Ruff, Hemet, CA, works with Hemet Community Food Pantry. We donate non-perishable food items and collect them each month. We also assist in various duties at the Pantry.
Theresa Martin & Doris Bertch of the Poway CA Chapter supports Mary’s House providing donations of various items for the girls living in the home. We will also be visiting the home to provide classes in cooking, crafts, personal finance, and other topics.
Nannette McKendrick and her Tom's River, NJ Chapter participated in the "Brush With Kindness" for Habitat for Humanity -- They worked on a group home for disabled men and power washed the house, blacktopped the driveway, weeded, planted a vegetable garden, and planted several flower beds to beautify their home!
